General Manager - Research & Analytics

About the role

The General Manager, Research & Analytics will establish and lead TCF’s central hub for insight, evidence, and performance intelligence. Reporting to senior leadership, this role integrates rigorous impact evaluation with advanced data analytics to guide strategic decisions and improve program effectiveness across a large education network.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a research, evaluation, and learning agenda aligned with organizational priorities.
• Develop organization‑wide impact measurement frameworks covering learning outcomes, operational efficiency, and long‑term life outcomes.
• Commission and oversee studies, pilots, and innovation initiatives to identify evidence‑based solutions.
• Serve as the primary liaison with the broader research and policy ecosystem, building partnerships with academic and development stakeholders.
• Produce high‑quality knowledge products, evidence syntheses, and thought‑leadership pieces for external dissemination.
• Design and maintain KPI frameworks, executive dashboards, and reporting cadences for continuous improvement.
• Embed analytics into leadership forums, annual planning, and operational performance reviews.
• Build predictive analytics capabilities to support proactive interventions in student risk, teacher retention, and school performance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in research, evaluation, or analytics, preferably within the education sector.
• Strong track record of designing and implementing impact measurement systems.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior decision‑makers.
• Experience collaborating with academic, policy, and development partners.
• Excellent communication skills for producing knowledge products and presenting findings.
