Legal Compliance Officer

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Compliance Officer who will ensure that our business operations adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate enjoys dissecting complex legal documents and turning them into clear, actionable processes that support the organization’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret laws, regulations, contracts and company policies.
• Translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical business processes and SOPs.
• Develop, implement and maintain compliance frameworks and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct compliance audits, risk assessments and gap analyses.
• Identify compliance gaps and recommend risk‑mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management.
• Monitor regulatory changes, assess impact and update internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure operational compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance or a related field (LLB, LLM, MBA preferred).
• 5–6 years of relevant experience as a lawyer, compliance officer or project manager.
• Strong academic background and high level of integrity.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML, ISO standards and GDPR.
• Relevant certifications such as CAMS or ACCA.
