Mechatronics & Electrical Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

Tilco Technology Lab is looking for a motivated Mechatronics/Electrical Engineer to join its on‑site R&D team. You will own the full lifecycle of smart consumer products, from concept and PCB design through hardware integration and firmware development.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain firmware for microcontroller‑based systems using C/C++ with real‑time functionality, peripheral drivers and communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Prototype, design and validate printed circuit boards; manage CNC programming and operations for both prototype and production runs.
• Integrate hardware and firmware, troubleshoot issues and conduct system‑level testing of digital and analog circuits.
• Create and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings using tools such as AutoCAD Electrical and Multisim.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including firmware specifications, hardware interfaces, test reports and engineering change logs.
• Monitor emerging embedded and electrical technologies and propose independent enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics) or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Strong programming and analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming for microcontrollers.
• Experience with SPI, I2C and UART communication protocols.
• PCB design and prototyping.
• CNC programming for hardware production.
• AutoCAD Electrical and Multisim for schematic and circuit design.
• Use of development and debugging tools for embedded systems.
