Pool Technician

About the role

The Pool Technician is responsible for ensuring swimming pools and related equipment operate safely and efficiently. This role involves routine cleaning, water quality testing, and basic maintenance of mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Skim, vacuum, and brush pool surfaces to maintain cleanliness.
• Test water chemistry and adjust pH, chlorine and other parameters to meet safety standards.
• Inspect, service, and repair pumps, filters, and other pool equipment.
• Identify and fix minor leaks or faults in plumbing and electrical components.
• Follow established safety and hygiene protocols.
• Maintain simple maintenance records of activities performed.

Required profile

• Matric/Intermediate education.
• 2–5 years of experience in pool maintenance or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Understanding of pool chemicals and their safe handling.
