Procurement Manager – Raw Materials

About the role

Shan Foods is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing and management of raw material ingredients for its global food production. The role ensures timely supply, cost efficiency and quality compliance across the manufacturing network.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with planning and production to align raw material supply with master production schedule and weekly plans.
• Identify alternate sourcing options to mitigate supply chain risks and enhance procurement resilience.
• Develop and monitor seasonal buying plans, ensuring product quality and proper storage.
• Source and qualify global partners, establishing approved supplier relationships.
• Plan, schedule and arrange material deliveries according to production requirements.
• Liaise with Quality Assurance to drive continuous improvement and maintain vendor compliance.
• Evaluate supplier delivery performance, analyze trends and proactively address potential delays or quality gaps.
• Gather market insights and long‑term material trends to shape the annual operating plan.
• Monitor commodity market trends to inform strategy, execution and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or related field.
• 8–10 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement of raw‑material ingredients.
• Strong knowledge of raw material commodities (preferred).
• Excellent negotiation, decision‑making and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
