Sales Tax & Import Operations Manager

About the role

The Sales Tax & Import Operations Manager leads all sales tax compliance and import/export activities for Vigour Corporation in Sialkot. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory adherence, and smooth customs clearance while managing a small team of compliance professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee sales tax compliance, including filings, reporting, and staying current with tax laws.
• Manage import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs clearance.
• Supervise preparation and management of export documentation in line with legal and facilitation scheme requirements.
• Maintain correspondence with the Federal Board of Revenue to resolve tax and import issues.
• Develop and monitor financial reporting processes in accordance with IFRS and GAAP.
• Handle accounts payable, cash flow management, and expense control within budgetary guidelines.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of three operations and compliance professionals.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate financial operations and corporate policies.
• Continuously review and improve import and sales tax procedures.
• Track legislative changes and advise management on impacts.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of sales tax regulations and import/export compliance.
• Familiarity with financial reporting standards such as IFRS and GAAP.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate with government authorities.
