Tax Manager – Compliance & Reporting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead compliance and reporting activities for our client in Lahore. The role requires deep knowledge of Pakistan’s federal and provincial tax legislation and the ability to manage complex tax matters independently.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly and annual sales tax returns to the Federal Board of Revenue and provincial revenue authorities.
• File accurate income tax returns and oversee withholding tax compliance.
• Handle statutory filings and annual returns with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
• Coordinate and manage tax audits from federal and provincial authorities, addressing observations and notices promptly.
• Draft professional replies to tax notices, audit queries, and regulatory correspondence.
• Maintain comprehensive tax records, reconciliations, and compliance documentation.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and communicate implications to management.
• Provide tax planning advice for complex transactions and day‑to‑day operations.
• Lead, develop, and supervise a team of three tax professionals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance, reporting, and audit management within Pakistan.
• Strong understanding of federal and provincial tax laws.
• Ability to lead a small team and deliver accurate, timely filings.
• Excellent written communication for drafting replies to tax authorities.
