US Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will own the end‑to‑end tax function for Nysonian, ensuring compliance, accuracy and timely reporting across all jurisdictions. This hands‑on role requires deep technical tax expertise and close partnership with finance, legal and business teams to minimise risk and drive strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end tax compliance, including US and Canadian statutory filings (T5, T4A, 1099K, W2, 940, 941), VAT registration and international sales‑tax obligations.
• Manage relationships with external tax service providers and ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities, handling inquiries and resolving issues.
• Provide tax inputs for financial reporting, risk management and strategic decision‑making.
• Mentor and develop the internal taxation team, promoting best practices.
• Conduct ad‑hoc tax analyses to support business initiatives and optimise the company’s tax strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or related field; ACCA or CA preferred.
• 6–8 years of taxation and accounting experience, preferably with cross‑border or multinational exposure.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in a fast‑paced environment, preferably with Big 4 or international tax context.

Required skills
