Wing Head – Audit Entity Owner / Lead Reviewer (AVP/VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior professional to lead the Operations Audit function as Wing Head – Audit Entity Owner and Lead Reviewer. Reporting to the Divisional Head of Management, Operations Audit & Regulatory Coordination, you will oversee audit planning, execution, and reporting for key banking entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of audit entities, regulatory requirements and emerging risks.
• Engage regularly with stakeholders to stay informed of developments and concerns.
• Develop and update Risk Control Matrices and assign composite risk ratings.
• Coordinate audit resources, prepare audit opening letters, and conduct kick‑off meetings with auditee management.
• Prepare and obtain approvals for audit planning documents, sample rationale, and testing procedures.
• Review testing procedures, manage conflict‑of‑interest declarations, and allocate audit tests to team members.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation; Masters or professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, ICMA, CIA) preferred.
• At least 6 years of banking experience in branch audit, management audit, business risk review or risk assets review.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage audit teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Familiarity with Core Banking applications.
