Accounts Payable Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our Finance & Accounts team. The role involves full ownership of the accounts payable and provident fund functions across the group's entities, requiring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Take end‑to‑end ownership of the purchase‑to‑pay cycle, including invoice verification, processing, payment runs and reconciliation.
• Manage provident fund schemes, ensuring timely contributions, accurate member records and regular reconciliations.
• Contribute to monthly close, posting accruals, pre‑payments and overseeing related balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, compile supporting schedules and act as the finance point of contact for internal stakeholders.
• Oversee sales tax (GST) and withholding tax compliance, supporting tax filings and staying updated on rule changes.
• Lead and develop the accounts payable and provident fund team, enforce policies, internal controls and drive process automation.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA member with 7‑8 years of progressive experience in accounts payable and general accounting, including supervisory responsibility.
• Experience in a multi‑entity or group environment, solid tax knowledge (income tax withholding, sales tax) and familiarity with IFRS and US GAAP reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for handling large data volumes.
• Strong understanding of purchase‑to‑pay processes and fund accounting.
• Knowledge of Pakistan tax requirements and compliance.
