About the role
We are looking for a proactive Assistant Manager – Human Resources to partner with leadership and employees across key HR functions. The role blends operational execution with strategic partnership, covering talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment for assigned departments, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offer negotiation.
- Lead new‑hire orientation and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Serve as first point of contact for employee queries, resolve conflicts and promote engagement initiatives.
- Support the annual performance review cycle and guide managers on performance improvement plans.
- Ensure HR policies comply with local labour laws and maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
- Oversee payroll inputs, leave management and benefits administration, and contribute to HR projects such as policy revisions and DEI initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or specialist capacity.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict‑resolution abilities with discretion handling sensitive information.
Required skills
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed and applicant tracking systems.
