About the role
The Department Supervisor will report to the Customer Experience Manager and be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, merchandising, and cleanliness in the Dry Beverages, Sweets & Confectionery area of a METRO cash‑and‑carry store.
Key responsibilities
- Lead Store Associates in mass merchandising, shelf and stock management, and ensure the department is ready before store opening.
- Track product expiry dates, maintain 100% product shelf viability, and reduce departmental shrinkage.
- Achieve departmental sales targets and develop at least 10% new customers annually.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, planogram presentation, and 100% cleaning standards.
Required profile
- Graduation (any discipline).
- Ability to maintain discipline, wear professional attire, and provide optimum customer service.
Required skills
- Team leadership and coaching abilities.
- Ability to address customer complaints and propose appropriate solutions.
