Accountant and Tax Manager

About the role

Rauf and Company is seeking an experienced Accountant and Tax Manager to lead its finance function in Lahore. The role involves overseeing financial accounting, tax compliance, and managing a team of five accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoice processing.
• Assist in the preparation and verification of sales tax and income tax computations.
• Maintain ledgers, bank statements, vouchers, and cash books.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of five accounting staff.
• Support senior management during financial audits and respond to audit inquiries.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and accounting software to analyse data and generate reports.
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and assist in tax filing.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent (ICMA, ACCA preferred).
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and general ledger accounting.
• Proven ability to lead a small accounting team.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
