Accountant – Book Publishing (Lahore)

About the role

We are a leading book publishing company in Pakistan seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage financial operations across production, warehouse and sales functions. The role is full‑time based in Lahore and involves maintaining accurate records, supporting billing processes and preparing regular financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Verify daily invoices against order forms, attach courier bills and maintain physical filing.
• Maintain and reconcile customer and supplier ledgers, track distributor payments and follow up for collections.
• Record paper and book stock movements, coordinate production orders and reconcile dispatched versus received quantities.
• Capture daily business expenses with supporting documents and prepare salary sheets, handling advances, loans and deductions.
• Prepare daily and monthly expense summaries, income statements, cash‑flow overviews and other basic financial reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience, preferably in printing, publishing or manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of debits/credits, cash flow and reconciliations.
• Attention to detail, good communication and trustworthy work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
