Accountant (Finance Department)

About the role

SheenJ Builders is seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Accountant to join its finance department in Islamabad. The role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Oversee tax preparation and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to maintain smooth cash flow.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Lead and supervise a team of five accounting professionals, providing training and performance feedback.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and support decision‑making.
• Monitor budgeting processes and assist in financial forecasting and planning.
• Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives and financial health.

Required profile

• Minimum of three years of accounting experience.
• Experience supervising a team of accounting professionals.
