Accountant

About the role

International Delivery Express (IDE Logistics), an Islamabad-headquartered courier and cargo company serving individuals, businesses and e-commerce sellers with international parcel delivery to the UK, USA, Canada and Europe, is looking for an Accountant. The role supports accurate financial operations as the business manages shipping and logistics activity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger records and prepare routine journal entries, reconciliations and account schedules.
• Process and review invoices, receipts, payments and expense claims, ensuring they are backed by proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank accounts and customer and vendor balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing, financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor receivables and payables, follow up on outstanding items and help maintain reliable cash-flow records.
• Organize financial documents and support tax filings, audits and compliance with accounting requirements.
• Coordinate with operations and other teams to verify shipment-related charges and keep financial records accurate.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, double-entry accounting, general ledgers and account reconciliation.
• Experience preparing journal entries, financial schedules and routine monthly reports.
• Competence in processing invoices, accounts payable and receivable, expense records and payment documentation.
• Accuracy and attention to detail when handling transaction records and spotting discrepancies.
• Ability to organize supporting documents and assist with audit, tax and financial close requirements.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills for sharing financial information with logistics and operations colleagues.
• Professional integrity, discretion with confidential financial data and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong spreadsheet skills, including formulas, sorting and organizing financial data.
• Familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems.
