ESMA Data Analyst

About the role

Octus, a global provider of credit intelligence, data and analytics, is hiring a Data Analyst for its ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) team in the Pakistan office. The role supports growth in the firm's regulatory data reporting service for leading investment managers, within an entrepreneurial team with direct access to management. The analyst manages client data flows and the growing database of issuers, loans and deal sites, and acts as the product's KYC point of contact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inflows of client data and maintain an accurate database of issuers, loans and deal sites
• Carry out issuer research to establish correct relationships and identify assets correctly
• Act as the product's KYC point person, keeping client and contract records accurate and up to date
• Work with the Product team on workflows, contract execution and invoicing
• Develop mechanisms to simplify centralising data collection and integrating those metrics into the ESMA product
• Champion the client base by understanding their needs and educating them on the ESMA Article 7 framework

Required profile

• Fixed income operational experience
• Knowledge of broader financial markets
• Experience with leveraged loans is an advantage but not required
• Self-starter, independent thinker and collaborative team player
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask diligently
