Accountant

About the role

Cosa Nostra is a Lahore-based restaurant focused on Italian cuisine, quality food and memorable hospitality. It is looking for an Accountant to support accurate financial recordkeeping and reporting for its restaurant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, cash records, bank statements and supporting documentation.
• Record daily sales, receipts, supplier invoices, payments and other restaurant transactions accurately and on time.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, prepare payment schedules and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Assist with monthly closing, financial statements, budget tracking and variance analysis.
• Review inventory and food-cost records with relevant teams and help identify discrepancies or unusual variances.
• Support payroll processing, tax documentation and compliance with accounting and statutory requirements.
• Organize records for audits and provide clear financial information to management when requested.

Required profile

• Practical experience with bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations.
• Ability to process invoices, payments, receipts, bank transactions and daily sales records accurately.
• Working knowledge of monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting and expense or variance analysis.
• Understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support and applicable tax documentation.
• Strong organization, numerical accuracy, confidentiality and time-management skills, and clear communication with restaurant operations, suppliers and management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software; strong Excel skills for calculations, summaries and data checks.
