Accountant - Transportation Operations

About the role

Prime LPG Company is looking for an Accountant to support accurate financial operations for its transportation activities in Rawalpindi. The role keeps reliable accounting records, helps monitor operating costs and provides timely financial information for day-to-day business decisions. It is an on-site, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile transactions, invoices, receipts and payments related to transportation operations.
• Track transport and vehicle expenses, review supporting documents and flag discrepancies for follow-up.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations and month-end closing.
• Prepare routine financial reports, expense summaries and schedules for management review.
• Maintain organized records and support compliance with accounting, tax and company procedures.
• Coordinate with operations and other departments to verify billing details and resolve accounting queries.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of bookkeeping, general ledger entries, reconciliations and basic financial reporting.
• Experience processing invoices, payment records, expense claims and accounts payable or receivable.
• Ability to review and reconcile transportation or vehicle operating costs against source documents.
• Strong attention to detail with figures, documents and confidential records.
• Good organization and time management, able to meet closing and reporting deadlines.
• Clear communication and collaboration with operations teams to resolve discrepancies.

Required skills

• Comfortable using spreadsheets and accounting software for data entry, calculations and reporting.
• Sound understanding of basic accounting controls and willingness to follow tax and recordkeeping requirements.
