Assistant Import Manager

About the role

Fulcrum is hiring on behalf of its client in the manufacturing industry for an Assistant Import Manager based in Karachi. The role covers end-to-end import operations, from letters of credit and documentation to shipment tracking and customs compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations, including LC, documentation and shipment tracking.
• Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders and clearing agents.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and import procedures.
• Monitor shipment schedules and resolve delays or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate import records and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery and inventory updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 5-6 years of relevant import/logistics experience.
• Experience with a manufacturing concern, preferably a local company.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of import procedures, LC, documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

The working days are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a salary of up to Rs. 200,000 per month. Interested candidates share their updated resume with the recruiter.
