Assistant Manager - Forensics, Rapid - Karachi

About the role

EY's Forensic & Integrity Services helps organisations investigate facts, resolve disputes and manage regulatory challenges. An Assistant Manager position is open in Karachi to support the MENA Forensics team in compliance and risk assessments and other forensic projects. The role suits someone wanting to build a career in consulting, work on a diverse portfolio of projects and help develop junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee services covering regulatory compliance, FCC, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and internal controls for clients
• Help clients set up anti-fraud units by designing the governance framework and developing the required policies and procedures
• Work with the client's operational risk management team to develop and run key risk indicators and reporting
• Pack project findings into clear, concise work products and act as a subject matter expert
• Drive process improvements and ensure project teams follow the Q&RM guidelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• At least three years of financial crime compliance risk management and compliance experience in banking and/or a public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of regulator and international organisation expectations, such as FATF
• Knowledge of the global risk and regulatory environment, especially FCC developments
• Industry certification such as CAMS or an ICA diploma in AML
• Ideally: experience in the MENA region, postgraduate qualifications in AML/CFT or professional qualifications in risk management
