Assistant Manager Manufacturing

About the role

GSK is seeking an Assistant Manager Manufacturing to lead and support production and packaging operations in Karachi. You will collaborate with operations, quality, engineering and planning teams to ensure safe, high‑quality products are delivered on time while fostering continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily manufacturing and packaging activities to meet schedules, quality and safety standards.
• Coach and develop production teams, set clear expectations and provide regular feedback.
• Support compliance and quality systems through investigations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), change controls and audit readiness.
• Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation and system postings.
• Work with engineering and planning to manage equipment availability, material flow and capacity.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve key performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, filling or packaging operations.
• Experience supervising or leading frontline production teams.
• Proven problem‑solving ability with root cause analysis and CAPA processes.
• Strong communication and coaching skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
