Assistant Resident Engineer Structure

About the role

SMEC is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer – Structure to join a Roads and Highways project in Kuchlak, Balochistan. The role involves supervising structural works such as bridges and culverts, ensuring quality and timely execution under the guidance of the Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise structural works on highway projects, focusing on bridges and related structures.
• Assist in reviewing and approving structural designs, including bridges and culverts.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Prepare, review, and submit progress reports while maintaining proper documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and local authorities to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Identify and resolve on‑site technical issues related to structural works.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years supervising highway structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural design standards and quality control procedures.
• Relevant trainings or certifications are an advantage.
