Assistant Vice President - Central Process & Governance Lead

About the role

The Transformation Office is establishing Mashreq’s Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE), a centralized hub that standardises testing processes, tools and governance across the bank. As Assistant Vice President – Central Process & Governance Lead, you will drive the adoption, improvement and measurement of QA practices across multiple technology and business domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define, standardise and continuously improve QA processes, templates and best‑practice libraries.
• Ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements and Mashreq’s internal QA policy.
• Promote automation, AI‑driven testing and innovative techniques to increase efficiency.
• Establish governance frameworks, conduct audits and maturity assessments, and manage process‑related risks.
• Define, track and report key QA KPIs (defect density, test coverage, cycle time) through dashboards and predictive analytics.
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, product managers and business analysts to ensure process alignment.
• Develop training material, run workshops and mentor QA staff on governance principles.
• Lead change‑management initiatives and evaluate tools that support automation and reporting.
• Maintain a central repository of QA assets and evolve a QA maturity model.

Required profile

• Self‑directed professional comfortable supporting multiple teams, systems and products.
• Proven experience in QA governance, process improvement and metrics‑driven quality management, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
