Associate Taxation

About the role

JazzSure Insurance, part of JazzWorld, is hiring an Associate Taxation (grade AT-II) in Karachi. You will support day-to-day tax compliance and reporting, working with internal stakeholders, tax authorities, auditors and consultants to keep compliance with applicable tax laws timely and accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and timely filing of tax returns, statements, regulatory submissions and other statutory requirements.
• Manage withholding tax (deductions, reconciliations, deposits and related obligations).
• Assist with income tax, sales tax, provincial taxation and insurance-related tax matters.
• Prepare and maintain tax reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support accurate tax computations and provisions.
• Liaise with the FBR, provincial tax authorities, auditors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with tax assessments, notices, audits and month-end/year-end closing by preparing supporting schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Hold or be pursuing CA Inter, ACCA Finalist, ICMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 1-3 years of relevant taxation experience, preferably in insurance, financial services, professional services or a corporate environment.
• Newly qualified ACCA professionals with relevant tax, audit or accounting firm experience are welcome.
• Good understanding of Pakistan tax laws, withholding tax, sales tax, provincial taxes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and attention-to-detail skills, able to manage compliance deadlines.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems
