Automation Engineer

About the role

The Automation Engineer will lead the site automation organization at The Coca-Cola Company’s concentrate manufacturing site in Lahore, Pakistan. The role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving automation processes across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead automation projects that improve plant performance and align with the global automation strategy.
• Implement technical automation standards, SOPs, and governance for equipment, utilities, and production lines.
• Manage instrumentation and metering maintenance and calibration programs to ensure operational integrity and compliance.
• Oversee vendor and contractor contracts related to control, automation, and digitization systems.
• Design, code, and maintain process control systems, including DCS, SCADA, and PLC networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 6‑7 years of engineering automation experience in manufacturing.
• Leadership experience managing external resources and project budgets.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present technical ideas.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Siemens S7‑1500, S7‑400) using STL, SCL, and LL languages.
• HMI programming and configuration.
• Experience with DCS, SCADA, and control network coding/recipes.
• Instrumentation, metering, and calibration expertise.
• OT activities such as backup & recovery, patch management, and user access control.
