Backend Engineer

About the role

PostApp Tech is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable server‑side applications for its cutting‑edge web platforms. You will work primarily with Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of the backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain server‑side applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Create and manage PostgreSQL database schemas and queries with Knex.js.
• Develop and document RESTful APIs that power frontend applications.
• Optimize backend performance, security and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user‑facing features.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as a Backend Engineer (candidates with less experience may be considered for junior roles).
• Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
