Business Development Executive (Upwork Bidding)

About the role

Mergestack is seeking a Business Development Executive specialized in Upwork bidding to drive new business opportunities and expand the client base through strategic proposals and platform engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop tailored proposals for Upwork, demonstrating insight into client needs and project specifics.
• Actively pursue new business opportunities with strategic bids and compelling communication to prospective clients.
• Ensure strict adherence to Upwork policies, maintaining a compliant and professional profile.
• Analyze project needs, conduct market and competitor research, and formulate competitive pricing strategies to win bids.
• Engage with clients professionally, showcasing the portfolio and highlighting achievements.
• Employ persuasive communication techniques to transform prospects into firm project agreements.
• Foster and maintain client relations, aiming for satisfaction and ongoing partnerships.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of proven experience securing projects on Upwork.
• Demonstrated success as a bidder on Upwork and Freelancer with a portfolio of secured projects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate project requirements, market trends, and competitor assessments.
• Proficient in negotiation with a track record of closing deals.
• Highly motivated, goal‑driven, and consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
