Canadian Tax Accountant

About the role

Bestax is seeking a qualified Accountant to handle Canadian corporate and personal tax compliance. You will work with international clients, ensuring accurate filings and supporting basic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST, payroll tax filings and other routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to reduce liabilities.
• Stay updated on Canadian tax rules and regulations.
• Review financial data for accurate tax calculations.
• Handle tax notices and communicate with authorities when required.
• Maintain bookkeeping records and prepare financial reports.
• Coordinate with the team to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations and compliance.
• Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST and payroll tax filings.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Fluent English communication, both written and verbal.
