Caseworker – VAWG, Protection

About the role

The VAWG Caseworker provides direct, survivor‑centered support to women and girls affected by violence. Working under the guidance of a Casework Supervisor, the role combines case management, psychosocial assistance, and coordination with multiple service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate case management services, including needs assessment, basic counselling, care‑plan development, safety‑plan creation, and referrals.
• Distribute emergency cash and material assistance following established protocols and individual assessments.
• Document all interventions, maintain confidential case files, and adhere to strict data‑protection standards.
• Participate in regular case review meetings, coaching sessions, and post‑distribution monitoring.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, humanitarian partners, and sectoral service providers (MHPSS, child protection, health, etc.).
• Represent program goals and VAWG standards in coordination meetings and advocacy activities.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and uphold survivor‑centered principles, including non‑discrimination and equality.

Required profile

• Degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, humanitarian studies) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience providing case management or psychosocial support to survivors of gender‑based violence.
• Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable populations while maintaining confidentiality.
