Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Insurance Industry

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to lead a leading insurance organization in Pakistan. The CEO will be responsible for executing the Board’s vision, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the company’s vision, mission, and strategic goals approved by the Board.
• Report performance, financial position, and key developments to the Board.
• Provide strong leadership and foster a culture of performance, accountability, innovation, and morale.
• Develop and execute strategic marketing and business development plans for sustainable growth.
• Lead the development and execution of short‑ and long‑term operational policies and strategic plans.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate organizational and business risks.
• Oversee financial performance in collaboration with the CFO, including budgeting, cash management, investments, and internal audits.
• Work closely with HR to strengthen talent acquisition, employee benefits, compensation, and organizational practices.
• Establish and monitor quality standards and performance objectives across departments.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Represent the company at industry events, public forums, stakeholder meetings, and strategic engagements.
• Evaluate senior executive performance and promote corporate social responsibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an HEC‑recognized institution (or foreign qualification of equivalent level).
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Director, CEO, or senior officer with an insurance regulator.
• Additional qualifications such as ACII, FCI, Fellow/Associate of the Institute of Actuaries, or a Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, or Actuarial Science are advantageous.
