Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Stadium Road Hospital

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer will lead the strategic, operational, financial and quality management of the Stadium Road campus, ensuring efficient daily operations and alignment with the institution’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that support the hospital’s vision.
• Oversee clinical and non‑clinical departments, implementing policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement, monitor performance metrics, and enhance patient outcomes, safety and satisfaction.
• Represent the hospital at board meetings, donor events and community forums, building strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage the hospital budget, implement cost‑control measures and ensure financial sustainability.
• Lead adoption of new technologies, including electronic health records and other IT systems.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in teaching hospitals or large health‑care organizations.
• Proven track record in managing complex hospital operations and improving performance.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards and financial management.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed.
