About the role
Motive is seeking a Commercial Account Manager to work with strategically important customers across multiple industries. You will build on SMB experience to manage larger, complex accounts, aligning customer operational challenges with Motive’s AI‑driven platform.
Key responsibilities
- Develop executive relationships and understand commercial clients’ businesses to identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct thorough needs analyses and align customer pain points with Motive solutions.
- Deliver tailored product demos that address specific account requirements.
- Collaborate with customer success, support, product specialists, sales engineers, and analytics teams to optimize account growth.
- Manage contract renewals, minimize churn, and ensure revenue retention through proactive communication and strategic planning.
- Identify root causes of issues, determine corrective actions, and implement solutions.
- Strategically plan to meet and exceed sales goals and revenue quotas.
- Continuously deepen knowledge of the Motive platform and market trends to provide consultative insights.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably from the US, UK, or Canada) or equivalent exposure to US/Canada/UK B2B customers.
- 4+ years of relevant or transferable experience in sales or account management.
- Demonstrated success in end‑to‑end sales or account management processes.
- Coachability, openness to feedback, and a strong desire for continuous improvement.
- High attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative, win‑as‑team mindset.
