Commercial & Business Insights Executive

About the role

The Commercial & Business Insights Executive will lead commercial finance and business insights activities, working closely with the department manager, Marketing, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and the Finance Director. The role is responsible for managing brand and SKU profit‑and‑loss, investment planning and providing decision‑making support for volume, revenue and portfolio expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Marketing and Supply Chain leadership to prepare the Annual Business Plan and rolling forecasts for brands and SKUs.
• Own the brand/SKU P&L and act as custodian of the financial data‑base by brand and pack.
• Develop and maintain management dashboards that report profitability and support strategic decisions.
• Assist in rationalising loss‑making SKUs and propose measures to improve profitability.
• Support new product and pack development to ensure alignment with strategic guidance.
• Lead scenario modelling for pricing, promotions and other tactical options.
• Partner with RGM on ad‑hoc projects, building robust business cases and insights.
• Conduct competitive value‑chain analysis, shadow costing and industry benchmarking.
• Help devise investment strategy, lead business case reviews and facilitate investment committee approvals.
• Approve monthly promotions, review variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability and reduce costs.
• Ensure timely submission of financial deliverables to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial finance or business insights within a consumer‑goods environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to build financial models and dashboards.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with Marketing, Supply Chain, RGM and Finance leadership.
• Experience managing brand or SKU level profit‑and‑loss statements.
• Ability to develop business cases and support investment decision processes.
• Knowledge of competitive analysis, value‑chain benchmarking and scenario planning.
