Commercial Disputes Subject Matter Expert – AI Evaluation (On‑Call)

About the role

Volga Partners is building an on‑call network of subject‑matter experts to support AI training and evaluation for financial and insurance reasoning models. As a Commercial Disputes SME you will review AI‑generated content, ensure financial and legal accuracy, and provide structured feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Create and review finance‑related prompts, scenarios, and analytical tasks for AI models.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, reasoning quality, and business relevance, identifying inconsistencies and suggesting improvements.
• Provide detailed feedback and quality assessments to help improve model performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet established timelines and productivity goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Law, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in finance, audit, insurance, compliance, legal, or risk disciplines.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with excellent written English communication.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Professional credentials such as CFA, ACCA, ACA, CMA, MBA, CIA, CISA, or JD (preferred).
• Experience with financial modeling, valuation, forecasting, budgeting, investment analysis, or quantitative research.
• Familiarity with reviewing technical content, research, or analytical reports.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, data annotation, or model evaluation projects is a plus.
