Community Livelihood and Gender Officer

About the role

The Community Livelihood and Gender Officer will support sustainable development in rural Sindh by mobilising communities, promoting gender mainstreaming and enhancing livelihoods through agricultural extension and adaptation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise rural communities to participate in livelihood enhancement and agricultural extension programs.
• Design, implement and monitor gender mainstreaming initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment and social inclusion.
• Conduct community assessments to identify vulnerabilities, needs and opportunities related to livelihood and gender adaptation strategies.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions on sustainable agriculture, livelihood diversification and gender sensitivity.
• Collaborate with local government bodies, NGOs and other stakeholders to align activities with regional development plans.
• Support data collection, reporting and documentation of project progress and outcomes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in community mobilisation, agricultural extension or livelihood projects.
• Strong understanding of the socio‑economic context of rural Sindh and ability to work with multi‑stakeholder environments.
