Customs Declaration Specialist

About the role

GSF Services SMC PVT LTD is seeking a Customs Declaration Specialist to manage customs declaration preparations and ensure compliance with import and export regulations. The role involves close coordination with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations in line with import and export regulations.
• Classify goods using Harmonized System (HS) codes to apply correct tariffs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of customs clearance procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to resolve shipment issues and expedite clearance.
• Utilise Global Trade Management (GTM) software to manage declarations and monitor shipment status.
• Monitor compliance continuously to avoid delays, fines or penalties.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in customs declaration or related logistics functions.
• Strong communication skills in English and a willingness to learn.
• Commitment to long‑term employment and ability to work Monday to Saturday, 12 PM‑10 PM.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Global Trade Management (GTM) software.
• Ability to accurately classify goods using HS codes.
