Data Engineer - Banking Analytics

About the role
UBL is looking for a data engineer to own the data behind its analytics. You will extract data from core banking and the data warehouse, make sure the numbers are right, and automate the reporting that leadership relies on.
Key responsibilities
- Write and optimize SQL to extract data from core banking and the data warehouse.
- Build and maintain automated ETL pipelines and recurring reports, replacing manual work.
- Build the data foundations for Tableau / Power BI dashboards and build automated dashboards on them.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to understand data sources, definitions and quality issues.
Required profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience writing SQL against large datasets, including joins across multiple tables and window functions.
- Experience building ETL processes such as SSIS, Informatica or scripted pipelines.
- Experience with banking data: core banking systems, MIS or regulatory reporting.
Required skills
- SQL (T-SQL, Oracle, Teradata or PostgreSQL)
- Tableau or Power BI
- Python for automation and data processing
