About the role
The Department Manager for Fresh – Fruits & Vegetables will oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring optimal stock levels and high standards of presentation. Reporting to the CEM, you will lead a team of store associates to achieve sales targets and maintain operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in stock ordering and maintain optimal stock levels in the department.
- Lead the team in mass merchandising, shelf management, and department cleanliness.
- Drive productivity improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the FM in achieving the department's sales targets.
- Manage overnight operations according to Dark Store Operations (DSO) protocols and ensure readiness before store opening.
- Ensure product presentation follows the planogram and secondary displays comply with BMPL guidelines.
- Conduct QA checks using defined protocols and checklists to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor product expiries, enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) and maintain accurate records.
- Enforce discipline in timekeeping, professional attire, and uniform compliance.
