Deputy Manager System Administrator

About the role

BYD Pakistan, Mega Motor Co is seeking a Deputy Manager – System Administrator to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of its enterprise IT infrastructure. The role combines hands‑on technical expertise with strategic oversight to ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and secure Windows and Linux server environments, including patching, hardening, and performance monitoring.
• Oversee Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V, Nutanix, or Huawei HCI.
• Implement storage solutions (SAN/NAS), backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and other tools.
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring compliance and server hardening.
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Coordinate IT asset, software license, and vendor management.
• Ensure business continuity through high‑availability and disaster‑recovery planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of system administration experience in enterprise data‑center environments.
• Proven ability to manage complex virtualization and cloud infrastructures.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance.
