Dispensing Officer

About the role

The Dispensing Officer pharmacist is responsible for accurately preparing, labeling, and dispensing medications in accordance with internal protocols. This full‑time, on‑site position is based in the Korangi District and supports continuous improvement of dispensing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and dispense medications while checking dosage and formulation.
• Maintain proper storage conditions and manage inventory of pharmaceutical products.
• Document all dispensing activities for audit and safety purposes.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in dispensing procedures.

Required profile

• Professional pharmacy qualification (degree or diploma) with registration or eligibility for registration as a pharmacist.
• Preferably experience with homeopathic or alternative medicines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reading prescriptions and labeling.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, prescribers, and team members.
• Ability to work on‑site full‑time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and ongoing learning.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacology basics, dispensing procedures, and dosage calculations.
• Safe handling and storage of medications.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Familiarity with inventory or pharmacy management systems for stock control and documentation.
