EHS Manager – Environmental Health & Safety

About the role

The Manager EHS supports the Senior Manager EHS in implementing the site’s environmental, health and safety strategy, objectives, policies, standards and corporate initiatives. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and drives continuous improvement across all EHS aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and improvement of EHS management systems to meet company standards and regulations.
• Coordinate occupational safety programs, including hazard identification, risk assessments, behavioral safety and workplace inspections.
• Manage Permit‑to‑Work systems such as Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, Work at Height, Excavation and LOTO.
• Implement fire safety and emergency preparedness programs, conduct fire drills and maintain fire protection equipment.
• Provide EHS oversight for capital projects, facility upgrades, equipment installations and process modifications.
• Oversee construction activities, shutdowns, maintenance turnarounds and contractor‑led projects.
• Conduct contractor safety onboarding, audits, inspections and performance reviews.
• Support environmental compliance programs covering waste, wastewater, emissions and hazardous material management.
• Assist in investigations of injuries, near‑misses, property damage, environmental incidents and fire events.
• Perform routine EHS inspections, audits and track closure of findings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8‑10 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001/14001 Lead Auditor preferred.
• Strong knowledge of occupational safety, machinery safety, fire safety, incident investigation, contractor management and environmental compliance.
