Employee Relations Lead

About the role

The Employee Relations Lead will oversee employee relations, disciplinary and grievance management, and labour law compliance across the University. This senior HR professional will guide stakeholders, manage compliance risks and enhance processes to ensure a fair and respectful work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the management of employee relations matters, including grievances, workplace conflicts, misconduct and disciplinary cases, ensuring fair, consistent and timely resolution.
• Oversee disciplinary proceedings, investigations, hearings and documentation in line with University policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor compliance with Pakistan labour laws, update HR policies and conduct periodic compliance reviews.
• Review and improve HR policies, SOPs and guidelines related to employee relations and disciplinary management.
• Prepare periodic reports on disciplinary cases, grievances, compliance findings and employee‑relations trends for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant HR experience in employee relations, disciplinary management, grievance resolution and labour‑law compliance.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication, report‑writing and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with tact, discretion and sound judgement.
• Skilled in mediation, negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management.
