English Design and Quality Specialist

About the role

The English Design and Quality Specialist strengthens the quality and technical excellence of the Primary English curriculum through design, review, research and evidence‑informed improvement. The role works closely with the Manager – English Design and cross‑functional teams to support high‑quality curriculum development and classroom implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to curriculum architecture, design and continuous improvement of Primary English curriculum components.
• Lead technical review of teaching and learning materials to ensure coherence, progression and developmental appropriateness.
• Design and refine teaching guides, learner resources and digital learning materials.
• Conduct curriculum research, benchmarking and evidence synthesis to inform improvements.
• Provide technical expertise in cross‑functional initiatives and support curriculum discussions.

Required profile

• BS (4 years) in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, English, Applied Linguistics or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years experience in curriculum design, review, quality assurance or English language teaching for pre‑primary and primary years.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of curriculum design and English language pedagogy.
• Ability to design, review and refine curriculum products with attention to progression and alignment.
• Analytical, research and technical writing skills to translate evidence into curriculum improvements.
• Collaboration and facilitation skills for effective cross‑team work.
