Expert Payroll & Benefits Specialist

About the role

The Expert Payroll & Benefits is responsible for accurate, timely payroll processing and comprehensive benefits administration. Reporting to the Manager Payroll & Benefits, the role ensures seamless employee lifecycle transactions, statutory compliance, and HR operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly payroll processing, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and adherence to SOPs.
• Manage payroll inputs such as employee movements, allowances, deductions, benefits, and recoveries.
• Administer employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, promotions, transfers, retirements, and separations.
• Maintain and update employee records across HR platforms and systems.
• Coordinate and administer benefits programs (provident fund, health, life insurance, OPD, salary advances, etc.).
• Handle dependent enrollment and deletions, maintaining accurate vendor records.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute employee letters, contracts, and HR documentation.
• Perform regular HR data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR Business Partners, external vendors, auditors, and service providers on payroll and benefits matters.
• Support annual compensation activities, salary reviews, performance bonus administration, and provident fund profit declarations.
• Monitor service levels, employee queries, and operational performance metrics.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Support HRIS integrations, testing, and digital transformation projects.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, reconciliations, and operational updates.
