Field Projects & Maintenance Engineer (Lahore)

About the role

The Field Projects & Maintenance Engineer delivers operational maintenance at regional level, spending at least 70% of the time validating HSSE delivery, checking that suppliers perform as expected and proactively managing service delivery. The role is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Act as focal point for all HSSE requirements and issue and record the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring training and supplier qualifications.
• Promote a 'talk not tick' culture for safe work and advise on safe carrying out of work.
• Conduct asset condition surveys of service stations in the area of responsibility.
• Prepare for bi-weekly and monthly Market Unit meetings on operational performance.
• Prepare, audit and validate costed BOQs for site activities, verify rates from the market and verify invoices against work done.
• Assess equipment repair or replacement needs and recommend the most efficient and economic approach.
• Carry out quality checks on completed maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure asset data is kept up to date through the PSC team and respond to emergency call-outs and make-safe situations.
• Liaise with the Project Management Contractor (PMC) and Regional Operations Manager (ROM) so projects run with minimal disruption and equipment data is entered into Maximo/FMP.
• Help build the supplier base, hold regular operational reviews and share knowledge with the Centre of Excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance with strong HSSE management.
• Experience maintaining fuel station sites and knowledge of the petroleum industry is an advantage.
• Strong spoken and written English and local/regional language.
• Good planning, organisational, conceptual, political and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Good working experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Use of computer programs for design and work management.
