Finance Director (Head of Finance)

About the role

Cala Restaurant is looking for a Head of Finance to lead its financial department in Karachi Phase 8, Emaar. The role oversees daily accounting operations, financial reporting and compliance, and works closely with other departments to support strategic decisions. It is a full-time position involving a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger and ensure timely, accurate account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, and coordinate payroll processing
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls and company policies
• Collaborate with auditors and provide documentation and explanations
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, and conduct financial analysis to find trends, variances and cost-saving opportunities
• Supervise and mentor a team member, and improve financial processes, systems and controls
• Communicate financial information clearly to senior management and cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 5 to 6 years of relevant financial experience
• Strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented, efficient and able to work under tight deadlines
