Accounts Receivable Specialist (Medical Billing)

About the role

Quantum Leap Billing (QLBilling) provides medical billing and revenue cycle management services to U.S. healthcare providers. It is hiring a female AR Specialist for its on-site office in Gulberg Greens, Islamabad, working full time during U.S. business hours (night shift in Pakistan time). The role supports U.S. healthcare clients by following up on outstanding medical claims.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on outstanding medical claims and contact insurance companies to check claim status and resolve unpaid or underpaid claims.
• Investigate claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies, and prepare appeals, reconsiderations and corrected claims when needed.
• Follow up with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance payers.
• Analyze AR aging reports and prioritize claims by outstanding balance and aging category.
• Review EOBs, ERAs and remittance advice to identify payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of payer communications and claim follow-ups, and identify recurring denial trends.
• Meet daily productivity, quality and collection targets while complying with HIPAA guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in U.S. medical billing, AR follow-up or RCM.
• Understanding of the U.S. healthcare insurance system and medical billing processes.
• Experience with claim follow-up, denial management and appeals.
• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payers; knowledge of EOBs, ERAs, AR aging reports and insurance portals.
• Good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work night shifts according to U.S. business hours.
• Preferred: experience with medical billing software, clearinghouses and payer portals, and knowledge of insurance verification, payment posting and end-to-end RCM.
