Financial Accountant

About the role

A permanent Financial Accountant position in Islamabad, working Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a monthly salary budget of PKR 140,000 to 150,000. The role covers day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting and compliance for a client. A partially qualified CA or ACCA with 2-3 years of experience is sought; candidates with exposure to power generation, renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure or O&M sectors are preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including bookkeeping, journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and financial summaries.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, cash flow monitoring and financial analysis.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Support tax filings, payroll-related taxation and compliance with Pakistani tax regulations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly financial closing and timely reporting to management.
• Support internal and external audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and tax authorities.
• Assist with payroll processing, procurement and expense verification, and prepare documents for the head office.

Required profile

• Partially qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or ACCA.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, taxation, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Experience in power generation, renewable energy, engineering, construction, infrastructure or O&M is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and Pakistani tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and coordinate with management and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
