Financial Accountant – Reporting, FP&A & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a highly analytical Financial Accountant to join our fast‑growing finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis and process automation, supporting senior management in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly management reports and executive KPI dashboards.
• Analyse revenue, gross profit, expenses and profitability; produce variance analysis and board‑level packs.
• Assist in annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and scenario‑planning financial models.
• Review operational performance, pricing, margins and productivity; recommend profitability improvements.
• Build advanced Excel models and automate finance processes.
• Support month‑end reporting, reconciliations and variance investigations.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects, business‑improvement initiatives and new‑project financial modelling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Financial Accountant or FP&A Analyst.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Preferred: ACCA, CA or CMA qualification (in progress or completed) and knowledge of Australian accounting principles.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Xero or similar ERP systems.
• Financial modelling and data‑analysis capabilities.
